Geography

Following the periods of lockdown, we are keen to broaden our children’s horizons. Geography plays an important role in our school’s goal of ensuring our children know more about their identity as members of our local community and also have the self-confidence and knowledge to celebrate diversity. At Gleadless we have a high-quality Geography curriculum which aims to inspire in pupils a curiosity and fascination about the world and its people that will remain with them for the rest of their lives.

In Geography we equip pupils with knowledge about:

• diverse places
• diverse people
• diverse natural environments 
• diverse human environments
• the Earth’s key physical processes
• how the Earth’s features change over time
