Safeguarding

Keeping children safe is our utmost priority as a school. We know that, when children feel safe and secure, they are able to learn, to flourish and to succeed. At Gleadless, we work closely with our families and with a range of external agencies to make sure that our children have access to what they need and deserve.

Our Safeguarding Team

At Gleadless, all staff and governors are trained to carry out their statutory safeguarding duties. We also have an enhanced team of staff who have designated responsibilities for safeguarding children. This team offers a wealth of support to both children and their families. If you are concerned about the safety or welfare of any young person in our school, you can contact a member of the safeguarding team:

Our setting is closed during the holiday period; however, safeguarding remains everyone's responsibility.

For professionals only: If you need to contact the school regarding a Child Protection Conference, Core Group, Strategy Meeting, Child Death Notification, or another urgent safeguarding matter, please email: safeguarding@gleadless.sheffield.sch.uk

This email will be checked periodically during school closures.

If your concern relates to the immediate safety or welfare of a child, please do not wait for a response from this mailbox.
